American Bloodhound Club Honorary Membership

On an annual basis, the Historian solicits nominations for members to be awarded an Honorary Membership. This request is made at least six months before the dates of the National Specialty.

The Historical Committee recommends which of those nominees are to be presented to the ABC Board, up to a maximum of three in any one year.

To be considered as an Honorary Member, the nominee must:

  • have at least 30 consecutive years of ABC membership,
  • be a significant contributor to the Club, and
  • be in good standing with the ABC and the AKC.

Honorary Memberships must be approved by the Board and are announced during the Annual Meeting held in conjunction with the National Specialty.
